Pothos or Devil’s Ivy
Scindapsus Wilcox – firm, glossy, heart-shaped leaves with graceful tips and dashes of yellow. A charming trailer or climber is as lovely as any ivy or philodendron.
Location: Thrives in any exposure. Yellow leaf streaks are brighter in a south window. The preferred temperature is 60 to 70 degrees.
Height: Climbs & Trails.
Soil: Average garden earth with humus added. Several lumps of charcoal from the fireplace are welcome. One of the few plants that will grow in a container with no drainage hole.
Watering: Soil should be kept rather dry.
Special Care: If leaves around the base drop, the growing ends should be pinched back. The plant needs weekly feeding.
