Cephalocereus senilis, commonly known as the Old Man Cactus, is a distinctive and captivating succulent native to Mexico. Its unique appearance, characterized by long, shaggy white hairs that resemble a grizzled old man’s beard, makes it a popular choice among cactus enthusiasts and gardeners alike.

This striking cactus belongs to the Cactaceae family and can reach impressive heights, sometimes exceeding 15 feet. Its columnar, ribbed stems grow upright, forming a visually appealing silhouette.
