Copper Spoons Plant (Kalanchoe Orgyalis) is a stunning succulent that has a unique color that catches the eye of a plant lover. It has oval-shaped leaves that have a bronze color and are covered with tiny hairs and silver undersides and produce bright yellow flowers from winter to spring as they mature. It is native to Madagascar, where they thrive in full sun to partial shades and well-drained soil mix.
Copper Spoons is easy to grow, easy to care for, and a low maintainance plant. It is a lovely addition to your collection of plants, especially if you have it displayed in a beautiful pot. Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is an excellent draining hole in the pot to prevent root rot.
You can propagate them via offsets. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer will help them grow healthy. You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 9b-11b at 25-50 degrees F.

The Mature Kalanchoe Orgyalis or Copper Spoons Plant is native to Madagascar. It is a tall, shrub-like succulent, but when grown in a container it does not reach the 6 foot that is possible when grown outdoors.  It has stems and leaves that are densely covered with short, coppery colored hairs. The leaves are bronze to gray on the underside. The top side of the leaves are felted with fine, cinnamon colored hairs. The leaves fold upwards from the middle. It is slow growing, but can reach 6 feet in height although it typically does not reach its maximum height. It produces small, yellow flowers that appear in clusters at the plant tips from late winter to early spring. Provide sun on the coast to light shade inland. This plant is not cold hardy, so if you live in a zone that gets colder than 32 degrees it is best to plant this succulent in a container that can be brought indoors in the colder months. It does well in full to partial sun.
