Large Bonsai ‘Money Tree’ Plant

The Large “Money Tree” or “Good Luck Tree” is native to China. This is a Bonsai which is a reproduction of natural tree forms in miniature. This form of art has its origin in Japan and China where it has been in practice for centuries. As with any potted plant, they must rely on you to take care of them, rather than being dependent on nature. The Bonsai needs to be potted.

 

The “Money Tree” or “Good Luck Tree” is an age-old token of good luck and is considered to be an invitation to good fortune. It is the most popular plant for “Feng Shui” because it creates positive energy. It is thought that it will bring prosperity and wealth to your surroundings and decorates your home with nature and good luck. These money trees have braided stems, with unusual light green leaves that spread out along the top of each stem. These plants do not require much care. The Money Tree is hardy and extremely tolerant of low light and dryness. Place your money tree in a spot with lots of bright, indirect light, like a south-facing or west-facing window, but take care to keep them out of direct sunlight, which can sunburn the leaves.

 

Place your Money Tree in medium to bright indirect light, turning it every time you water it for even growth and leaf development. This plant will also adapt and do well under fluorescent lights. Your Money Tree prefers deep but infrequent watering. Water the plant until the water runs from the drainage holes.

 

In prime conditions, the Money Tree is a fast grower and can reach up to eight feet tall indoors and potted, and can grow up to 60 feet tall in the wild!). Most growth occurs during spring and summer.
