2 Crape Myrtle Muskogee | Lagerstroemia Indica

Crape Myrtle Muskogee (Lagerstroemia Indica ‘Muskogee’) is a small, deciduous flowering tree that has lavender-purple blooms in summer and fall and creates a beautiful display in your landscape garden. It has dark green feathery foliage and produces striking clusters of lavender purple, crepe-paper-like flowers as they mature. This fast-growing tree thrives in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil.

Growing them is easy and drought and frost tolerant once established. It is a lovely addition to your landscape garden, where they can bloom all summer long. Crape Myrtle can grow up to 25-30 ft tall and 15-25 ft wide.

Allow the soil to dry before watering them, and make sure there is excellent drainage to prevent root rot. The best way to propagate them is via semi-hardwood cuttings. Fertilizing them once a month during their growing season using a slow-release fertilizer will help them produce more flowers and leaves.

You can grow them in USDA Hardiness Zones 7-10a.

This easy-to-grow evergreen shrub needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system.  After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Cut back early once a year.
