2 Blue Cone Arborvitae

Latin Name: THUJA PLATYCLADUS ORIENTALIS ‘BLUE CONE’

This conical, evergreen conifer with red-brown bark is slow-growing and low-maintenance.  This uniformly blue-green shrub grows to heights of 15-20 feet tall (10-15 feet wide).  Ideally used for landscape accents such as shrubs and trees and privacy coverage.   

Amount of Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade
Amount of Water: Once mature water occasionally; Drought tolerant
Soil Conditions: Adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions; Does not tolerate excessively wet soil.
Cold Hardiness Zone: 6-9

This low maintenance plant needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system.  After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly.  Pruning is not necessary.
